Fairchild 24 Rudder Pedal Assembly

'Hi all,
Over the last few years I have been collecting (for some reason) Fairchild 24 parts. I have two different looking sets of rudder pedal assemblies. The point in question is where the actual pedal attaches.
I created; "Jim'sParts" photo album to display these parts and others.
Photo of Rudder Pedal Assembly #1 shows the attach flange as being what I would call small compared to #2. #2 is a bit larger overall. I'm wondering what the reason is for that. Was it different years of manufacture? Made at a different factory? A UC-61 series aircraft? Anybody have any ideas?
Just curious. Thanks in advance.
Jim'
