What's with the Spam as of late?

waspriggs was a long time member; I suspect his account was hijacked.
I learned the hard way this year that it is important to use a
different password for each site you register with (yeah, huge pain in
the arse). My gmail account was compromised by a Chinese hacker that
had undoubtably cracked a web site I'd used with my gmail address and
my (lazy) same password. Much spam was sent to folks in my gmail
address book. Be forewarned. (Google at least warned me that my email
had been accessed from a Chinese portal. )
