Pretty Airplanes!

'All,

I was lucky enough to attend the fly-in at Lee Bottom in Southern Indiana.
It was worth the 110-mile one-way drive just to see the two Fairchild 24Ws
that showed up. I have never seen such wonderful vintage paintjobs.

One of the Fairchilds is purple (the photos don't do it justice) and there
is one that is sea-green, too.

Yes, there were a number of PT-22 trainers, too, but I just grabbed photos
of the 24s.

Enjoy!

'Hi Jon

Great pics, however unless I am seriously mistaken they are both 24r's, the
W designation being the Warner radial engine variant, these both being
Ranger in line models.

Cheers

Stuart
