Tail wheel strut fluid

'Greetings fine Fairchild aficionados. I have a questions regarding the tail wheel strut. Now I have read through a lot of the postings on here regarding the tail wheel and I have a question on the fluid. I know many have stated that 5606 is fine for this application, but does anyone have any experience with a fluid with a viscosity more similar to the original Castor oil? It seems to me that the orifices and clearances in the strut were designed with a certain viscosity in mind and that the 5606 is much thinner than that. Also, is there some spec, STC or other paper trail to designate the proper strut fluid to use?'
