'Hi Bill,
I have heard the ACE brand TEF Valve Packing #4200374 works. It is 3/32" Teflon packing. I experimented with a couple of inches in a Lunkenheimer primer. I personally have not used it in fuel, only water. At another club website a person said they used this material. Might be worth a try.

'Thought I'd follow up on the recommendation on the Lunkenheimer primer packing. I obtained the teflon valve packing suggested at a local Ace Hardware, quite a long piece, only needed a bit so have a lifetime supply left over. The packing works great! All priming problems have gone away. Also discovered that the Parker primer locking lever needs to be exactly 90 degrees facing right or the flow seems to be cut off.
Thanks for the recommendation, works terrific!

'Hi Bill,
That sounds great. It's good to hear positive feedback for things that work. It'll be good information for people down the road.
