Warner 165 Ignition Timing
Posted: Wed Apr 07, 2010 6:56 am
'I have read two articles on Ignition timing one written in the 70's and one in the 90's by Chalkie Stoddard who operates out of a 6,000 ft. airport. they tell of changing the ignition timing from the manuals 26 BTDC to 32 BTDC and changing the exhaust valve gap form .010 to .012.
I would like to hear more on the subject from more than one other seasoned Warner 165 people who operate from nearer sea level runways using 87 octane auto fuel and 100LL av-gas
Thanking you in advance for your advice on the subject
