Aileron rigging ?

'After reinstalling the wings on my 24W46, I am struggling a little with the aileron rigging. We have invested several hours in this process and just can't seem to get it on the money. Maybe my expectations are too high, but you should be able to get the trailing edges faired and achieve the proper travels up and down left to right without wanting to pull your hair out. We have loosened the cables so that the stops on the stick do not interfere and have just tried to work the control tubes lengths to get the trailing edges lined up and the travels correct but are not having much success. I really wish there was a rig pin in the bus bar to hold it exactly straight up, then the tubes could be adjusted (bus bar being centered would ensure that the travels were the same on each side) and then the cables tensioned to center the stick.
Does anyone have a tried and true procedure for this or some advice? Am I asking too much to have the travels within 1/8 of an inch? I know you are allowed -2° on the angles but while I have all of this opened up I want to get it right.
Thanks,
Matt
