'Giday, Don. Don't know if this is the type of content you may be looking for but I
am scratch building a full size flying replica of a Fairchild 51. It will be the only flying
example in the world. It's a fore runner of the more popular Fairchild 71.

A link to some not quite up to date photos of the project are here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/9773776@N08/sets/72157601305722923/
I hope to be flying in 2011.

A friend down in Pa. is restoring a very nice Fairchild 71...his restoration photos are here:
http://gallery.me.com/smoketownairport#100012&bgcolor=black&view=mosaic&sel=0

And, one of the most ultra rare Fairchild 42's is up and flying in Alaska. check here:
http://picasaweb.google.com/mike.skup/FairchildProject# you can see this plane fly
on Youtube. Get on Youtube and search Fairchild 42. It is one of only seven ever built.

Thanks for doing the website...hope this is of some help. Regards.....

'Nice job on the restoration, Jon. I'm curious about the workings of that beautiful oil temp
regulator that one of your pics show. I've never messed with one before but mine is very
similar to yours. Could you pls. give a run down on how they work? I see three outlets on
the bottom and guess the one in the middle might have some adjustment feature up inside.
Also, there appears to be a filler cap on the top...does the cooler need to get bled to get
started ? Thanks....

'Giday, Ashley. I still look back at those photos we took as we were loading the plane on
your trailer and laugh. A bitter, bloody cold day it was, but nice to meet you and the Bride !
Calling my orphan unloved is just nasty.... ;-) I still wonder what it would be like with a
285hp Chinese radial too. Nice to hear from you.
