'Robert,
I'm new here and mostly a lurker to learn. Besides being a pilot and
mechanic, I own a model airplane plan business. You referred to drawings on a CD.
Where can I get a CD? I want to make sure my 24 plans are accurate.
Thanks,
John Melvin

just wanted to verify the information regarding the main gear strut packing
# 43260. The ones that I have are new, but the numbers vary slightly from
the drawing on the CD. The inside and outside diameter is the same as on the
drawing. The drawing has them at .375" thick, but these are .450".
What I remembered about their composition is pretty much true. There is 5
layers of cord and 6 of rubber. The layers of rubber and cord appear to be
about the same thickness. Pardon me if I don't do some destructive testing.
The cord appears to be cotton.
