'Hi Curt

That´s why it lastet that long to have it running again!
Due to the rising fuel prices we did the conversion to the "no fuel
pertuum ranger" ;-). Unfortunately we don´t have a STC yet.;-)))

Till we get that, we feed it with a 5qts fuel can which is mounted on
the left forward wing spar attachment.

By the way, a good engine shop for anybody who needs help with
historic engines in germany is Moto Bende, www.motobende.de, near
Bonn.

'Curt,
Yes, I had been wondering what "lash-up" had been used to to overcome
the lack wings and hence fuel tanks.

I also wondered if such a non-standard set-up was in anyway
responsible for the initial reluctance to keep running and a brief
and spectacular episode of "speaking with tongues of fire"!

Seriously though, is very good to see another example nearing flying
status again. Congratulations to all involved in D-EFML (ex RAF
HB709).
