'Well Guys ... thanks for all of the help, suggestions and support on
trying to get my 24 moved from MT. I have had to make an executive
decision and it looks like I will be heading to MT on Monday to begin
disassembling the plane for transport to the deep south. I can only
hope that I along with the airplane survive this 1800 mile trip!
I 'll keep you posted and let you know how it goes for those interested
in following this adventure.
Matt'

'Tom,
Very sorry to disappoint you... I greatly appreciate your interest and your offer to travel to MT. You were very generous but I felt like it was too much to ask of you. I have been trying to organize this for a few weeks and the logistics have been a nightmare. You have to involve so many people and there are always factors like the weather that can really throw a wrench in the works. I couldn't imagine you or myself getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken airplane or weathered in for days on end. Trucking it home seems to be the least risk and the quickest way to get it done. I can work on the plane here at home and be thorough. I want to be sure that she is ready to fly safely and not be rushed to get it in the air just to get it home.
Perhaps you can help in other ways .. I may need your experience somewhere down the road.
Thanks again,
Matt

Your welcome, westher is the big thing thgis time of year.
couple suggestions
1. place all bolts back into there holes they don't get lost that
way and the confusion as to which one goes where islessened.
2. when you get Spear fish S.D. on hwy 90, go to Belle Fouche S.D.
use highway 212 to Crow Agency Mt. It cuts off 4 hours driving time
when the weather is good.
let me know when and how I can help. and I'm sorry I couldn't be in
Mt this week.'

'Tom,
I'm confused .. do I take 212 out of Billings to spearfish instead of using 90? What do I do then? I have never driven this route and I want to save all of the time and agrivation that I can.
Thanks,
Matt

'You can use Hwy 212 going west or east, it runs from Crow Agency Mt
(just south of Billings) to Spear Fish S.D. on I-90
It cuts off going into Sharidan Wy. and about 4 hours off the trip. it
is/was good 2 lane road the last time I was over it last year.
It runs thru the Crow reservation. and the Little big horn monument.
Speed limit in Mt. is safe and prudent for conditions.
