'Radial Engines Ltd. did a superb job on ours a couple of years back.
They have a website http://www.radialengines.com/

'Al Ball of "Antique Aero Engines" at Santa Paula Airport specializes on the Warner Engines and does the best job I've seen.
His number is 805-525-9464 and his address is, 20 Curtis Taxi, Santa Paula, CA. 93061.

'My Warner was done by Santa Paula aero, it lasted 155 hours before I
had to do it again.

Al Ball of "Antique Aero Engines" at Santa Paula Airport specializes
on the Warner Engines and does the best job I've seen.

I'm very surprised to hear a bad comment about one of Al's Engines. His work is top rate and he keeps track of his engines. If you have talked with him about this engine, I'm sure he told you why it didn't last much longer. If you like; I will talk with him and let the club know what caused the short engine life.

page for what I found during my restoration. Stitz should have lasted
longer than 12 years, New fabric should never be installed over old,
but my aircraft had 7 layers of fabric on the bottom. I was not
impressed with the quality of Santa Paula's work on my aircraft.

I think we both are confused. First I'm all screwed up because after checking with Al Ball and Antique Aero Engines; they specialize in Kenner and Menasco Engines and will only occasionally do a Warner or a Ranger engine. He does not and never has done airframe restorations. Al has been at Santa Paula Airport for over thirty years and says he has never heard of "Santa Paula Aero". We both would be interested if you have an address for this Santa Paula Aero. They sound pretty shady and may be operating off field.
