'All,

I just sent the Fairchild Club some more Fairchild CD ROMS for bench stock. Contact the club direct for a copy. Price is still $45.00. Includes drawings and much more.

Peter,

Welcome to the Fairchild group. The F-24 wing build is a major undertaking. Can be done with lots of time. If you want a kick start, there is a company that is producing the complete Wood wing kit. Contact me for details.

Hi, I am in Corona,CA and have just bought the remains of a Fairchild
24R - a real basket case; no engine, only one wing (very bad), but
most of the rest is there and in fairly good shape. I have not even
picked the aircraft up yet and am cleaning up the workshop to make
room for it.
I am under no illusions as to the size of the task and I am hoping
I'll find answers to many of the questions I know I'll have in this forum.

I have started by ordering what drawings the Smithsonian has, but I
have not the slightest idea what they contain yet.

I am planning to build a pair of wings (and likely, tail surfaces)
using the hardware from the existing left wing. Hopefully I can find
an affordable right wing, or rather all the hardware from one. This is
the only way I could ever afford to own a classic aircraft and I am
sure it will take many years to get this completed as I am halfway
through a homebuilt project of my own design, too.

Looking forward to getting to know other members here,

Peter
