brake fluid

Post by Buhwana »

'What is the popular fluid to use in the brake system for the PT-19.
The brake reservoir is about half full and the fluid is colorless but
doesn't smell the same as the Dot 3 fluid that is in the landing gear
struts. The Old Army maintenance CD calls it "hydraulic brake fluid"
bit it's not RED.

'If the stuff is real viscous and slick it may be DOT 5. I have
used this fluid for 10 years.

It is compatible with the seals and will not remove paint. Remember if you
change the fluid, pump

It in from the bleeder with an oil can. Will you be at Sun&Fun this year?
I'll be there to show and sell!
