'The following is the type of note I (as moderator) am sent when I get a request to join the group.
I don't believe this information gets automatically forwarded to group members (please email me if I'm wrong). Anyway, I haven't been passing these notes on, and that has been a disservice to the group and the new member. From now on, I will endeavor to pass these on, with a subject NEW MEMBER. Hello,

The following person would like to join the fairchildclub group:
Email address: flybikefarm

Comment from user:
I currently own a 46 Cub and a 46 T-craft. I have always liked the look
of the Fairchilds, and some day would like to own one. George

I'm looking at a F24R40 basket case and looking for information. It may
be too big for me as a 1st restoration. I'll read all the archives and
lurk on
the list. Thanks, Don H

'Welcome to the group.
You have to post a specific question. At the top of this page you'll
see a blue dialog box with "post" as one of the options. Click that
and shoot a question to the group. This is a " as time allows" kinda
group and you may get an answer?.. then again you may not. Doesn't
mean anything. Hell?If it's your lucky day you may even get a right
answer.

I am a former F24R46 owner (1986 - 1994) and considering purchasing
another. Been flying for 40+ years and feel that the Ranger-powered
Fairchilds are the ultimate classic aircraft.
