seeking right forward lift strut for Fairchild 24G

'Hi All,

We are very close to completion of the repairs to N2088, a 1937
Fairchild 24G, but have hit a snag. A ding in the right front lift
strut, which initially had been deemed repairable, upon closer
inspection cannot be repaired. I am seeking a replacement strut.

I think pre war struts are the same as 40's but am not sure. Likewise, I
don't know if the left and right struts are interchangeable... can
anyone tell me? If you have a 24 strut you can spare, let me know and we
can compare exact measurements.

Thanks all

'Hi Dan,
Hal said to tell you that Univar made him some steel struts about 10 years ago. Maybe they could help you out. He also wonders if you ever got your tailwheel approved. Thanks, Jeanene for Hal Bishop
