engine drive fuel pump on f-24

'My f-24 has been converted from warner to ranger in the 80's

That engine has an engine driven fuel pump.I am in the processs of
installing a new engine,and was wondering if it is necessary to put
the pump on this engine.

Am I right that the f-24 did not use a pump at all?

'No pump is required as it is a gravity feed system.
