Another F24 is back in the air

'This is to let everyone know that after 44 years 2 months and 16 days
(but who's counting) NC 77654 a 1947 F24-R46 is once again flying.
Until 2002 this aircraft had spent it's life in Wisconsin. It was taken
out of service on March 2, 1963 to recover it. My dad and I accquired
the project in 2003 and brought it to my hanger just north of Fort
Worth, TX. I have spent the last 4 years making everything new again,
including a rebuilt C-5 in place of the orignal C-2. First flight
today went well. Boy do these these ships fly good!

'Congratulations Mike! NC77605 is about a year behind you and will also
live and fly in the Dallas-Fort Worth area when it's done. Enjoy the
nice spring weather in your airplane.
Best Wishes,

'Mike: There is a fly-in / cook out / party at Hicks (T-67) on June 9
starting at 4:00pm. Bring your airplane, a chair, and your appetite.
It's at hangar 637 (north end of the airport). Call me for more
details, if you like - (817) 280-9306.

'Would like to come, but that is the weekend for the Fly-in at Gainesville and I am part of the AAA chapter that sponsors it, so I am going to try to have the plane there if I can get an air/oil separator installed in time. You ought to come up there if you can.
