'Hi to all,

The sump on the PT-19 fuel tanks show signs of leakage.
They are stained all over along with the tank in that area.

Has anyone ran into the sumps being porous allowing fuel to seep through.

Thanks,

John'

'The best thing to do is to drain the tanks, remove the sumps, clean the mounting bases, install new gaskets and reseal all the joints and fittings with a joint compound (no plumbers tape!). Be aware that due to age, some or most of the hardware will be very cranky. Be careful of using heat guns around fuel vapors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
