F-24 Interior Door Handles

Post by whelan7412 »

'Does anyone know what interior door handles & window cranks were
originally used on the F-24 series, or can recommend nice period Art
Deco replacements? What similiar period car parts would work.

Mine is a '46 model & all cranks & handles have modern replacements.

Many Thanks!
Steve Whelan'

'1936 - 37 Ford, just as the gas caps. Find them in Hemmings. Bob Haas.

'I brought up the Drawing #411104 on the F-24 CD.

The interior handles: window Handle 267272-W Studebaker.
Door Handle 265724 Studebaker
The washer like thing that goes between the handle and upholstery #278943-1
it is difficult to read "escutchbon? plate" also Studebaker

Obviously, Pre 1946.

'I didn't think of it before. I have a complete set of New Original handles, both interior and exterior.
They were installed on the last known pair of original door assemblies for the F-24. I bought them in the early 70's. The handles may be the Ford & Studebaker shown in the CD. All that I can say for sure, is they were installed on the two new doors. The doors didn't have any external paint on either door.

I do plan to use them on my 24. A typical, they needed to be re-chromed.

Send me your E-mail, and I'll send you a photo of them. Mine is at the bottom.
