PT drawings - my actions to date

Post by Pilot4906@aol.com »

'I am currently having 1500 + drawings scanned and cataloged by part number.
They have been scanned and the cataloging is nearly done. I am not sure
what I will have as a finished product. I am sure some will be great and some
will be poor to no good. It is my expense and I felt it would be worthwhile
to try.

I am not suggesting this process would be as good or even usable but I do
have a set of drawings for the Stinson L5 that were made in the same manner and
while some images are poor some are excellent and have helped the process of
restoring our L5-G.

Perhaps the combination of the two would provide the best of both processes.

My cost should be about 20 to 25 cents per image, good or bad. The image
scanned of the index and the part number appears to be in near perfect
condition. The company expects to name the images by part number which will make it
easy to locate the image of an individual part. Perhaps I am too optimistic
but I will know if I wasted my money in a couple weeks.
