'For you PT-19 owners, do you call your PT a Cornell?

Those of us who live in Texas have some trouble understanding why the
Canadians wanted a canopy and a heater on their PT, but we do know they called the
PT-26 a Cornell. The question is whether a PT-19 or PT-23 used to train US Army
Air Corps pilots was called a Cornell.

A variant of the same question is whether you, when referring to your PT-19,
think of it as a Cornell.

While technically they probably weren't called "Cornells" during US
service, it is interesting to see that even the USAF museum lists
their example as a PT-19 "Cornell", (see following link).

So I guess if it's good enough for the U.S. Air Force, it's good
enough for me.

(And yes, I refer to all of my basketcase PT projects as "Cornells",
the two PT-26A's, the three PT-19A's, the PT-19B and the Aeronca
built PT-23.)

'The -19 and -23 in USAAF service were not named. Only
the PT-26 used in Canadian service was named Cornell.
This practice was common with aircraft used in
RCAF/RAF Commonwealth service.
