Coast Guard markings-?

'Anyone have access or copies of CG F24 paint schemes-? We are
considering making 81229 a "Warbird" as the paint needs touch up work.'

'There is or was a F24 at Tillamook Oregon. In fairly good shape with the
proper CG livery. There is another at the CAF Museum, Midland Texas.

It was in restoration, but flying, also in CG livery. This was two years
ago. The aircraft should be a F 24 C8 F, G, or H, I believe. Bob Haas.

Harry,
Don't think I've ever seen control sticks with rubber boots. Can't
remember anyone else mentioning rubber boots. My 1946 Temco R46
has vinyl boots with a zipper. Same kind of vinyl as the rest of the
upholster.My 1945 parts manual shows a canvas or vinyl boot. It does't
say what it's made of, I do know the zipper is important, if you take
the floor out as many times as I have, you'll appreciate the extra
room.
