Ranger Engine Bushings

'Heads up Ranger users,

The two New/Old stock Ranger engine bushing that I picked up from
Fresno Airparts a few hours ago are failing. This is due to age of
the rubber and bonding agent (60 year old parts). I would not
recommend you spend your hard earned money on these. Unless,
however, if you need the mount and the center ground bushing, they
are perfect.

My recommendation is send your failed units to Southland Manuf for
rework. Cost is a little higher, but you will end up with new rubber
and bonding that will last a long time. Nothing like new parts.

Here is the contact info: (Also in the Parts & Services list)
Southland Manufacturing Corp. Owner: Larry Trumpore P.O. Box 350
Hope, NJ. 07844 Phone 908-459-5858

Southland also can make the Warner 165/185 bushings. I have also
sent them an old set of Warner 145 bushing for a master. I don't
believe they have tooled for manuf on the 145 units, not much
demand. But the capability is there.

'Jamie,
cost is a little higher! trumpmore quoted me a price at Oshkosh of $120.00
per mount.

'John,

I just paid $180.00 (2 Units) for old junk ones from Fresno. I would rather
spend $120.00 per unit that will last at least 10 years, rather then
spending $90.00 per unit and replace them every 20 hours. Need to do the
math.
