'I just received an old original photo of NC81201, taken at Temco. It
shows a Spartan Executive in the background and some sort of DC multi-
engined airliner. The photo is stamped (on the back) with "This photo
is UNCLASSIFIED but has not been cleared by the Defense Department for
Public Release, Public Use, Exhibitions, or Unauthorized Distributions."
NC81201 is listed as a 24W-46 and is registered to Herbert Hobi of
Roseburg Oregon. Is Herbert on this list?

'Bob: I don't know the whereabouts of Mr. Hobi, but could you scan the
picture and post it to the message board or maybe e-mail the scan to
me? I'm trying to put together a collection of pics of the Temco plant
during the Fairchild days. Not long ago, I interviewed two guys who
worked there during the war years and for a little while thereafter (I
think through '47) and they were really interesting. The interview is
on video tape and I'm going to get it professionally edited and put on
a DVD so I can share it.

'Bob
I don't think Herb is on this list but we're in the same EAA chapter here in
Roseburg. I have seen his Fairchild fly but not frequently. Herb also owns
a nice C-195 and another Fairchild, I believe. Nice guy.

'Don: I might have a picture of your airplane taken at Rockford, back
in the day. I'm on the road right now and will dig out the Fairchild
pics when I get home later next week. Was your airplane originally
yellow?
