More silly questions?

'Hi,,, looking to install the oil cooler. I have a yellow tagged and
OH'd cooler from a lycoming setup. Can I use this cooler, or is the
cooler particular to the ranger.

I'm looking in the Ranger instruction book and the schematic mentions
a "thermostatic by-pass valve" and I want to make sure I don't have to
use a specific cooler.

If I do need a "ranger cooler" I have 2 oh'd and yellow tagged
coolers from lycoming setups to trade

thanks

Mike'

'The original Ranger(in the long nosers)setup was designed around UAP
round coolers...5" for the 175hp and 6" for the 200hp. Mr. Wegner
stresses, and correctly, 200hp must use the 6" cooler. The round UAP
coolers have a standard safety bypass built in, but most opt to have
a
Verna-therm "thermostatic by-pass valve". Are your coolers for flat
engines? What application?
