'Hey guys,

Just a tidbit on radio noise I have a new J&C harness and after a short while of searching I found the harness and all was fine, but the capacitor on the left mag had given up the ghost. I couldn't find one of the stock style capacitors so had to wire one in that came from Spruce that had a lead on it rather than screw connections on both ends. No More noise.

'I should note that this it got noisy after about 15 hours on the new
harness when the capacitor went bad. It is not a common failure. They
can be checked generally, using an analog VOM by watching the meter
rise then fall with one lead on the case and the other to a condensor lead.
It will stabilize when it falls, reverse the leads and it will show the
same on the meter. No rise - bad capacitor.
