'Tom,

I have a Temco built '46 F-24 and I changed out the gear bolts after I got
it. I had one of the old ones that I just checked and it is a #6 Bolt.

My Texas Fairchild is serial R46386 with a test flight on March, 19th
1947. The previous owner is a little vague, but added, Temco made a
lot of improvements during their run. I haven't pulled the bolts yet,
don't know if I even will, but they're definitely AN8 with the proper
bushings, and even a grease fitting on the center bushing. The
previous owner said "don't touch 'em, they're correct"...
Oh well! I was just curious if this was one of his improvements or
factory. Just wondered if anyone else had AN8's in there.
