'I was looking through my pictures and came across some of a F-24H
that was at the Fairchild Reunion in 1992 here at Coldwater. It has
the leaf spring tail wheel. I looked in the Club roster and I believe
it is owned by Jerry L. Gecowets in Urbana,Ohio. This is dark blue
with a white stripe down the side of the fueslage. NC 12120.
I just recieved a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin in the
mail this morning. It concerns an AD for the MA4-5 carburetor and the
recent accident in Texas of a M-62A-3 (PT-26) I imagine all of us
that have airplanes with Ranger engines will recieve this. They
believe the venturi came out and probably was the cause of the engine
problem. The AD that covers this carburator is AD 63-22-03. This came
out in 1963. I have the Stromberg carb on my Ranger so it doesn't
apply ot mine. Just the Marvel Schelber carb. They put out a Service
Bulletin No. A4-63 in 1963. Just thought I would pass this along.
