Charlie Bell Tailwheel Mod

'Has anyone done the modification to the Fairchild tailwheel that
Charlie Bell reccomends? I just had it done to my tailwheel
assembly, but my airplane is still several months from flying and I'm
curious how effective the mod is at curing tailwheel shimmy. My
airplane is going to live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, so it will
probably spend a lot of time on hard surface runways (what a shame!)
and I'm wanting to do everything possible to minimize tailwheel
shimmy.
By the way, "Interiors By Dene" in El Reno, OK - (405) 262-8900 -
just finished my interior work and did an OUTSTANDING job. Had
everything done original (or as close to original as we could get)
and am really happy with the finished product. I posted a few
pictures of the work in progress under the "Photos" heading of this
web board, but they don't do Dene's work justice.
