The Tulsa wing of the CAF is rebuilding a PT-19. The time has come to wire the mag
switches. Having no knowledge of RFI but knowing that the devil is always in the details I
asked this question of several people. As many said one end only as said both ends so I
thought I'd try here.
With more research I think I have ansewered my own question. The EAA publication
Firewall Foward by Tony Bingelis says on page 189 that you ground both ends which is what I propose to do. On page 190 it says to ground both ends of the shielding of all shielded wires.
If anyone else knows of a plabe where this is written down please let me know. We are
not yet trying to eleminate RFI, just avoid it if we can.
Thank you
I am also interested in what a member did to resolve radio static on his
PT-26 with a Ranger. Please send this information to ME too.
Thanks
