PT wheel change

'I've been ready to change over to Cleveland brakes on my PT-26
project, but find myself hesitating whenever I look at the Cleveland
wheel rims supplied with the brake conversion kit. Compared to the
original PT wheels they look rather "modern" and I'm wondering how
they would appear when this rebuild project is finished.

I may be opening a can of worms here - but would like to hear of any
comments group members may have. If there are any photos around of PTs
with the Cleveland wheels that would be really appreciated.

'Charles,

Give Joe Denest a call, He will tell you they look like socks on a rooster. He takes the Cleveland off and re-installs the Hayes. He stacks them up in the corner.

'John! Do you know of anyone that would have the later type stearable tail
strut that i could adopt to my 1934 c8c? Wood work just about completed and
i would like to have something other than the free wheeling tail strut.

'Ken,

right now I do not know of any one who has a strut. You could contact Roger
Mooney at (973-663-0925. He may have a spare he is trying to sell out the
F24 parts that he has. you will have to get also the idler assembly that
changes the rudder cables to the tail wheel Contact Bob Waldron on this he
did this on a F24K his e-mail is rjwaldron@mmmpcc.org.

'Walt,
I am getting a tailwheel fork form a PT19.Do you still have the
strut? If you could send me your e-mail address I have some other items I
would like to check with you about. I tried to call but haven't been able to
catch you at home.
Thanks,
Buell
