'That rings a bell from my past converstaions also. However, I wonder if is now a part of the Mooney brothers Fairchild Parts business that has been advertised as being for sale. Wasn't it listed in the Fairchild Flyer classified section?'

'You are correct!
Roger Mooney and his brother are trying to sell the
entire inventory for $30K... He loves to talk, but the
parts I bought from him are far from useable....
Good Luck
Jim

'Here is some history on the Mooney Brothers inventory.
About 1990 or so, there were three fairchild projects
auctioned off from Spring Hill Aviation, in PA. A
fellow from New York purchased all three and tried to
sell them for very high prices. One was sold and
re-registered but the other two are still registered
to Spring Hill Aviation. Now the NY fellow sold the
remainder of the collection to the Mooney Brothers who
still have the parts. Who knows what happened to the
paperwork and logs.

HTH,

Mike

'All,

I have contacted Roger Mooney. We went thru the paperwork last night
on NC77662 24R46 S/N R46-362. Turns out this aircraft was owned by a
Jimmy L. Stewart. Not the same person as Gen James M. Stewart. So the
search goes on.

If you find out anything, let me know.
