'for a 1935 f 24 instrument panel? I am involved in restoration
project. We want to return the plane to original but the panel is
pretty well boogered up. We dont know where some of the indicators
really go. We are also trying to find aileron rod end bearings that
are .685 outer diameter .250 shaft size and .5 inch inner race width
but no luck so far. Thank you for any info you can provide. Tom Prose

'Tom, We are nearing the completion of our 1936 F24 C8E actually the 2nd
production ship and maybe, just maybe, these are the same. It was necessary
for us to also make a new panel although we had the old one as a template.
Should they be the same we can send photos and dimentions. I might even have
a advertisement of the instrument panel showing the layout. If you can give
me the model number of yours we can determine if they were the same or I can
send you earlier ads for your model. Give me you mailing address and I will
try to help.

'B.guest,

When you dig up the 1936 F-24 ads, send me a copy so I can put that in the
Fairchild CD ROM volume set. Still working on gathering data for the club.

'I wanted to also pass along we had enough panel left around the outside to get the dimensions for it. I guess I didnt want to put you out by having to get all the dimensions for the indicators. If there is a mechanical drawing I would gladly have a copy. I forgot to mention we have found aileron crossover tube bearings from unieair. once again thank you. tom Original Message -----

'To Fairchild Club memebers
Should a fellow Fairchild Club member purchase the PT-26A advertised
on eBay I have the records of the Cornells that served in the RCAF
and will share what I have on 42-71007.

Please note: I am not connected to the seller and did not know of
the Cornell existance before this evening. Just shows what is still
hidden away.

I would like to look up the FAA data on it and since there is no N
