'HI Everybody and Merry Christmas,
This is Ted in Michigan writing, Last week I had the pleasure of visiting with Kent Tarver
way out west In Fallon, NV. the visit was really short because of the reduced flts to and from Reno. Kent discussed with me how he'd go about repairing the leading edges of my propeller and the leaking hub assy. I had questions and he had the answers , I belive that my prop is in very good hands, Kent gave me a mini tour of his hangar and shop where all the tooling for the aeromatics and other props he'll be producing in the near future. His
shop for the props is already set up with lathes, duplicate milling machines, balance and tracking machines It was really fasinating to see all this equipment and how it works .
He showed me his Test blanks for use in the approval with FAA as well the test equipment. really neat stuff. just seeing how a prop would be manufactured was worth the trip a real learning experience . Side note: last October I had small brush with a small evergreen tree while exiting a grass strip. Noses on fairchilds are really high plus the afternoon sun didn't help. (Hey Jamie, Thanks for the tree air freshner it's hanging in the cockpit) the aeromatic is one great propeller I just want to make sure she stays that way. I should be getting the prop back next week I'll let you know how it looks. If any
of you guys get a chance go visit Kent ....... talk with you later ...............Ted
