I went to your web site the other day and enjoyed looking at your plane and
reading your comments (esp. re: groundloops... I claimed a runway light at
Burns, OR in August - not a scratch on the plane, though).
I just tried to show my wife your site but the URL in your email doesn't
seem to work today. It bounced to the home page of Homestead Professional
instead.

I'm flying a 1937 24G so we have quite a bit in common. I bought mine in
Nashville, TN, last January. It's in great shape.. total rebuild in 1993,
about 300 hrs back. I'm hoping we can get together sometime over the coming
year. I'm in Ketchum, ID, a bit over 500 air miles from you. I also want to
see that F22 over on Orcas Island.

Mine 24G is not completely stock... the original tail was burned in a hanger
fire and it now sports a bigger late model tail. It does still have the free
pivoting tailwheel, so the extra rudder doesn't hurt.

How did you end up with a steerable tailwheel? I'd love one but it looks
like a bear to add. Maybe it doesn't matter.

I've put about 65 hrs on the 24G this year. I'm starting to get the hang of
keeping it straight on rollout, but it does get ones full attention. As
you've probably discovered, grass is really great. Pavement is quite another
story.
