Does this forum structure seem straightforward enough, or is it needlessly complicated?

Are there topics missed, or miss-filed?

Let me know with your posts.

Hi Dan,
Well done, the new forum looks very promising.

My only comment and minor reservation is to ask might it not be best to include all models of the M-62/PT series in one forum. They have so much in common, i.e., all the main components and therefore the spares, servicing and operating procedures, etc.

The separate forums for the in-line and radial engines probably is a good idea.

I accept that as a researcher and historian, rather than an owner, restorer or pilot - the other Fairchild Club members may have a different view.

Thanks,Tony. I know very little about the warbirds, but definitely less is more here. I will implement your suggestion.

Hi Dan,
Couple of things here. Will the confirmation code be there permanently? I would hope that once someone gets approved, you would not need it.
Also, please include forums for specific model engines, like Warner, Ranger, etc

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joepre,

Registered users will not need to type in the anti spam code for each post or reply.

On the engines, I suspect radials will be dominated by Warner, and in lines by Ranger. I’ll be watching to see how this plays out, and will create further sub forums if the volume of posts support that.

Thanks,
Dan

HI,

After all the efforts put in place by the administrators ( kudos!) it is still surprising that only a minority of Fairchild owners visit the site.

It is now open to post pictures, attach PDF files and shows a nice structure , still it is not often used.
Yahoo Groups is closing soon, I guess it can only help in members discovering this forum.

Greetings,
Bart
