'In the article about 220s on F-24s a reference was made to an autofuel
STC for the Continental.
Is anyone known to have an autofuel STC for Warners?
Thanks,

'Steve,
Contact:
Peterson Aviation Inc.
Route 1, P.O. Box 18
Minden, NE 68959
STC #SA2243CE for all 24W Airframes
STC #SE2592 for Engine Super Scarab 165
STC #SE2593 for Engine Super Scarab 185
STC #SE2591 for Engine Scarab 28, 30, 40 50,
STC #SE2590 for Engine Super Scarab 40, 50, 50A
You will need to purchase, cost is normally $1.00 per HP. You will need to have your A&P/IA fill out two FAA Form 337's, one for the AF one for the Engine. Will require the Adel clamp around the push rod housing. Will require the Flt Manual Supplement and also the Tank Decals installed. All the above comes with the STC. Your FAA Form 337 will require the Continuation of Airworthness per Flight Standards Handbook Bulletin for Airworthiness HBAW 98-18.
Pay close attention to the STC when it comes to the use of Auto Fuel and Av Fuel 100LL. You will need to run 100LL thru the system X amount of hours for the Lead coating.
Any questions, ask away.

'If you look at your Warner it does not state AV gas. Only an octane rating. Check you TC data sheet also for the airframe. If it does not state AV gas you do not need to worry. The only time AV gas is required is if the engine or airframe TC call for it.
Most Warners and Fairchilds do not require it. Remember that leaded gas only came about during WW11. All pre war airplanes are based only on the minimum octane rating.
Check your TCs and go fly.

By the Way the not all 220s are AV gas engines. Check you data plates and TCs.
