Fairchild F-22 & F-24 Eng Drawing Proposal

'To All Fairchild Club Members:

Some of you may or may not know, the Fairchild Club (John Berendt)
has possession of (600+) F-24 and F-22 Eng Certification Drawings (on
Aperture Cards). A big thank you to Peter Jenkins of Canada for his
effort!! In order to utilize these drawings, a paper form has to be
created. This increases the risk of damage and loss to the Card do to
handling.

I have contacted an Digital outfit in the Denver, Co. area that can
convert all of the cards to a Group 4 TIFF that will be burned onto a
CD ROM. I have also contacted Peter Jenkins and now have the
Electronic copy of the "Table of Contents" (TOC) that will be
utilized on the CD also. Note: The Fairchild Club will retain the Apt
Cards for backup.

What I propose is this: I would like to convert all the cards to CD
ROM with a TOC that is Hyper Linked to the TIFF file for ease of
navigation and viewing. The Tiff file will be printable for shop use.

The cost to convert will run around $1300 US. I will create a Master
CD ROM for the Fairchild Club and a copy for every person that signs
up for the initial distribution. I will also provide a limited backup
for the Club to maintain. I will do all the CD burning, Hyper linking
at no cost to anyone.

The more people that want a copy, the lower the price. I estimate the
cost will be less than $50.00 US per person. I already have 5 people
interested and I believe John has 5 also.

If your interested, drop me or John Berendt a line and we will keep a
head count. Once we have enough people interested we will be able to
determine a formal price.

'Additional info:
These Aperture Cards contain the Engineering data (Level two
Drawings) that supports the Airframe. Very useful during rebuild,
modification and so on. Already have ten people wanting, lets get
some more, pass the word.
