The 13,000+ message archive is safe but currently stored in a proprietary archiving package. We are acutely aware of the importance of the archive to group members, and our first priority is incorporating the group message archive into this board.

There has been recent progress reported by the archive software developer but it’s not a one click process. More as it develops.

We finished the import and all the emails from the Yahoo Groups list are in the Yahoo Group Archives forum. We did our best to preserve topic threads as different topics, but with 13,000+ emails, we probably screwed up somewhere.

To encourage the use of topic-specific forums, we do not allow new threads to be created in the Yahoo Group Archives forum. However, recognizing that there are many discussions that are not complete in the Yahoo Groups, we do allow new posts on existing topics. Please comment away!
