'I like to avoid FB and Google. For me it's about (the illusion of) privacy.

I see the Tailwind group has moved to groups.io. Those Tailwind guys are
very smart and I would expect from them a good choice. I'm going to
peruse the site now and check it out.

' I'm assuming the Premium would be sufficient for us. $110/year. Seems affordable.
How many members do we have?

effectively, most other vehicles* I have have dedicated forums, and it work well (unless admin or provider decide to change or close, as well as Yahoo is doing).

Just an attention is necessary to picture upload and share (most recent forum have their own way to share pix, as well as some people prefer to share from other sources, cloud or else).

I am open to other solutions of course, as well as websites, but I know such solution may have a cost...

*Terrot, Motobecane, Monet Goyon motorbikes forums, haynes forum (about haynes DIY car), vw-aircooled forums, Nissan X-Trail forum, etc etc...

Another option is a Webpage. I’m a member of the Cessna 195 International group. They have a great website with lots of tech information and a good forum that saves all topics.

Wouldn’t it be better to find something where everyone will join? Why eliminate people based upon the platform? Too much expertise will leave the group.

What about Google groups? Has anyone looked into that?

My vote is a closed group on Facebook.  I’m on one for 210 Cessnas and it works well.

In our quest to keep pilotics out of it, Codias com in not neutral.

A closed page on FB keeps only ‘members’ together, allows for easy accès of pictures and videos and all Fairchild related.

There is also WhatsApp.

Just my 2 cents...

Hello Brian,
I would like to suggest FaceBook as a Fairchild club alternative.  Great photos access, more people from all over the world.

I am a memeber of the Bellanca Super Viking club on FaceBook (FB) and love it.  Some great posts there.  Would be cool to see this group go there.

My humble thoughts on it.

I guess Yahoo groups has become a thing of the past.  I remember back in the day, we also had chat rooms.  That was really great till the russian bots began infiltrating and things just went downhill, now totally gone.

Sad to hear the group is being dismantled...
