Restoration advice

'There are some members over here, not all of us have Fairchilds though.

My Rearwin Cloudster is based at Popham, about 40 minutes SW of
London. A nice grass field with some good airplanes.

You are welcome to come over and talk old aeroplanes.

p.s. We still have the full swivel tailwheel, can you
please explain the mounting procedure to the lower
portion of the frame. Our tailwheel strut assembly
only has a thin "L" shape bracket that lines up with a
hole on the frame, but it does not look strong enought
to support tail wheel landings. Since teh full swivel
was a RAF Modification the USAAF Manuals do not show
how to install these particular tailwheels.
any assistance will be greatly appreciated
