'Giday, Jim. My mix and throttle rods are there but only from the panel
through the firewall. The rest went with the engine. I've got an old radio
on the panel which will come out and get replaced. I could send you a
digital photo direct if you want or you could describe the Army radio to
me. I kinda doubt mine is the original that you need. If it is, you can have
it for a six pack and a good dirty joke!

WOW!
25th owner!
I will do some checking with my contact at the RAF
Museum and see if your plane was a lend/lease. Does
your plane still have all the original throttle and
mixture rods and links, or did someone put in cables?
Also need a original Army Radio for my plane.

'hi David-
A picture of the radio will be great!
as for the linkages and rods, I have about 4 complete
(panel to engine) NOS sets sitting on shelf at the
hangar, We purchased a truck full of UC-61 parts a
couple years back, 99 % are NOS USAAF surplus. Had 4
sets of Accessory panels, (the 2 halfs mount behind
the dishpan) we have 1 good set left, painted olive
drab and gray, Jamie Treat got 1 set, and 1 set of
inner cowl panels (set of three that attach to the
engine mount) 1 set left of those, Air Maze Boxes and
inlet ducts,Boxes full of Fairchild tagged hardware,
Most of it is markef UC-61A, but allot converts to our
UC-61K as well.
let me know if you can use any of these items, I can
generate a list of the parts I have, if you want it?
I will try to take some pictures this weekend of our
plane and email them to you!
thanks
JIM

'Hi Jim

I read your answer to David, an I would be very interested in the
link parts.
and perhaps some other parts to.
Because a lot of things to my Argus was lost in a fire.
may they rest in peace.
so i'm on the hunt for some complete Hanyes brakes/brakeshilds/rims.
and also the links you described for david.
An propp and hub to my Warner engine.
and some other parts,
if you had a list it would be great.

'Hi,

Some of you guys are looking for information on the interior of the
UC-61A/K series airplanes.

I have new pictures of seats which I believe they still could have the
original fabric. The fabric pattern looks similar to those on the
pictures in the 01-115CA-1 and 01-115CA-2 manuals. The color is
salmon. This is the seat backs only. There were no seat cushions in
the UC-61's, they were always flown with seat parachutes.

I have an original Flight Report Holder as pattern. Also color sample
of the instrument panel.

Happy New Year to all

I will get with my partner and make a new list of
surplus UC-61A items and a picture or if you have the
USAAF manual AN01-115CA-4
see page 72 figure 67. We have all the parts from the
instrument panel to carb.
will advise as soon as the list is done!

'Hi Goran-
Yes I also have the mixture links also.
I think Karl in Sweden (HB-ERO) or John Brendt my
answer the question better then I. I think the
difference was the Argus I may have been 13938/39
civillian models pressed into service by the RAF at
the outbreak of WWII. I will dig into my files and
books to see if I can make 100% sure of the
difference.
If any other member has the answer, please chime in!
