'Airy-Hugues,
You don't need the connecting pipe in the rear exhaust stack any more.
You can take the installation out. It is all decribed in the Ranger
Service Bulletin Nr. 91
If you call me on the phone and give me your normal e-mail adress, I
will send the SB to you.
I can recommend the exhaust stack from Aircraft Exhaust Systems, we
have one on our Fairchild. Those made from mild steel tend to corrode
from inside out in a short time.
And we have to talk about a meeting in July 2002.
Best regards

'Sorry everybody, if I make questions and answer by myself!
I called Aircraft exhaust system yesterday evening (late in the evening), and I got
informations about the possibility to have the connecting pipe for varburetor heating
(they said that it should be very rare, but they can do it on request, with pictures
and/or plans!)
But I learned by reading my mail this morning, that a Service Bulletin (no91) request to
take this heating system off of the engine!
(I don't know the date of publication of this bulletin, but our Fairchild is flying since
last war as well as today!!)
So...I really needed to become a member of Fairchild Club!!
Bye!

'Airy-Hugues,
The Fairchild CD Rom has all the SB data you will need for both AF and Engines.

'Walt,
I got there with Bob's 24R46 on Monday 9:30, was on row 7 near the road,
directly in front of Charlie's. There was 1940 145 Warner on row 6 right
behind me, they left early to beat the weather coming into Texas, Ed Wegner's
F24 was there with Charlie and also Eds old F-24. I thing there were three
PTs in attendance.
