'Wavy,

I had my stacks fabbed by Aerospace Welding in Eagan, MN. It took them about 10 days from receipt to have them on the way back to me. I sent them my cracked stainless headers (stamped/flanged/welded 3-1) as a template for the stud spacing, and a very old set of (OEM, I believe) carbon steel tubular headers as a go-by that I used to limp back home from a fly-in where my front header failed.

I received a beatifully crafted set of 321 stainless tubular headers patterned off the old set, and the fit was perfect. The tubular setup also offered better access to the header nuts, so reinstallation was quite simple. Better yet, of the companies I contacted (WI, CA, Alberta, WV), AWI offered the lowest pricing for the work...

I can recommend AWI/AMI to our Club members.

Happy Holidays,
Bill C.

'I concur. I had a set made a few years ago and they came out perfectly.
They can also be polished if you are willing to spend the time.

'Gene,

I paid $588.00 for each 3-1, plus shipping. Not sure if this is representative for all applications.

Happy Holidays,
Bill C.
