'I have just experienced the second extremely disappointing failure of a prebuy on a F 24 W 46. At this point I have given up that a prebuy passing 24 W SS 165 or 185 exists (That doesn't have an experimental classification) and is for sale for under or around 50K. Am I wrong? Are they out there??? I would really like to be a part of this type club with a plane but the search is a killer. Any help out there???'

Excuse my curiosity, but why a late model?

Mine has a normal airworthiness certificate. and the paper work to place the one time STC for the 165.'

I would take a Pre War, early model any day over the post war. Lighter, a little faster, stronger gear, smaller tail. Down right sexy bird. I have flown them both.
