'Folks -
Does anyone know a source for AN510 & AN520 Machine screws? -
specifically 510-416-11, 12, & 18 and 520-416-12 & 18. These are for
securing the door frame woodwork on my F24.
I have managed to salvage as many as possible but need some
replacements.
'Jay-Tex' list them on their inventory but despite 3 e-mails, 1 fax and
3 phone calls since 4 August they cannot/will not get back to me, if
even to say that they do not have them. I'm not at all impressed!
Any leads will be very much appreciated

'I had much the same problem with mine. I was encouraged to replace them with something more common. I found some stainless steel flatheads, with the same coarse threads. I showed the AI what I had found, his replay was that they are still a ton of over kill as compaired to what was necessary.
Another thing, just so that you will have something else to worry about. The flat head bolts that are used on the door hinges have a larger head than what you will be able to locate. I cheated. I reshaped some thin stainless steel washers for use with the flat head bolts (used a counter sink die for flat head hardware, in a rivet squeezer) The off the shelf bolts that you get today, have heads that are too small. They will pull through the holes.
