question for the 24 group

Post by jwm1801 »

'I have noticed some pictures of F-24s with a brace (strut) going from
the back of the landing gear to the bottom longeron around station 3.
I was wondering what year's had that brace an what is it for and how
does it attach? Thanks JON'

'Jon,

The strut is after market, not installed by the factory. Required in some countries to help satisfy the repetitive AD Note and SB for the Landing Gear attach fittings.

Good idea if operating in the rough turf or back country. Some of the birds in Alaska were also equipped.
