Tailwheel grease seals

Post by rangerrobertmn »

'Hey folks,

I need a pair of grease seals for the SC-10 tailwheel on my 24K. I
think that they are 1 11/16 O.D and 7/8 I.D. I was at my bearing store
today, and mistakenly was looking for 5/8 inch I.D. seals. They
couldn't find any of those. I will go back on Monday and look for 7/8
I.D. seals. Does anyone know the correct size and number and have a
source?

Thanks in advance.

'Bob,

My bearing store could not find that number. I expect that the C/R
stands for Chicago Rawhide. We were unable to find that part
number. Store thought that there might be a missing digit.

'OK, try 1099 or 18964 or 1956. You could see if he has a seal listed for
Timken 03062 030162 bearings. I did this

Two years ago but the receipts went with the airplane. BH
