'Hi guys, I need help. I'm searching for n° 4 p/n 43260 linear packing
ring for my UC-61A oleo
struts. If the packings aren't availables I will accept any suggestions.
Thanks again.

Re: help meee
'Sandro:
mine started leaking, I was able to get them to seal again by
simmering them in hot hydraulic fluid which softened them up. I
believe some people have replaced the original split cones with
propellor shaft packing that you can get at a marine supply store.
Others have replaced the original strut seals with a more modern
design but this requires some custom fabrication.
Good luck,

Re: help meee
'Dan has posted a good idea. In addition you may be able to spiral a
coil of teflon packing. It is slippery and won't hang up the gear o
extension. Shouldn't need very much squeeze at all. Packing like
this...
http://www.usseal.com/utex/packings/
Scroll down to the Teflon packings. This is basically an extension of
Dan's suggestion of marine stuffing box packing.
